Travelog: Milan & Lake Como

When Maurizio Cattelan’s L.O.V.E. sculpture was unveiled in Milan in September of 2010, they said that it would only be on display for 10 days, during Milan’s fashion week.

We were driving around Milan, trying to make our way to Duomo di Milan when we made a wrong turn.  Guess what?  We saw L.O.V.E.  right there, in front of the Italian stock exchange building. Hahaha! Oh, Milan, financially the most important city of Italy was given the finger. I didn’t know what to think about it.

Moving on, we continued to drive around the city which proved to be a little difficult due to some road repairs. (Garmin didn’t know about the repairs). 😦

The city was bustling and very stylish, with lots of modern shops. We noticed that majority of the cars on the streets were small and we understood why when we tried to look for a parking space.

Ah, Garmin, where would we be without you?

Reistance is futile: Italian gelato

Resistance was futile

My son’s favorite: The Burger King. And they have the XXL burger! The lady said they even have a bigger one. What!

Our last stop for Italy was in Lake Como or Lago de Como.

I won’t deny it, but I really envied this runner. Fresh air, water, mountains, excellent weather, nice running path, who could ask for more?
